Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

For this scrapbooking layout I used a photo I had taken of friends in Rome as a starting point for the colour scheme. They are in a band, so I reflected the music theme with the acetate record (Glitz Designs - Cashmere Dame) and die cut cassette tape (Kaisercraft).
I created the grungey brick background with a  wall stencil (Viva Decor) and texture paste.  I coloured it with Distress Inks and spritzers and rubber stamps.

I was pleased with the butterflies, which I made by stamping vellum with a Kaisercraft sheet music stamp, then embossing with Tim Holtz distress powder. I then punched them out with 2 different size butterfly punches and attached with clear glue dots.

Supplies: Crate Paper - Open Road, Prima Flowers & leaves, MME - brads, Webster's Pages - Word art and vellum, Basic Grey - Soleil (circle banner) and re-painted chipsticker flourish.
Acetate Heart - Maggic Holmes.
I used Joanne Brisebois digital overlays on the photo, for the vintage and vignette effect.

Fairy Belle Shadow Box

This project started off as a Chocolate Ginger wooden box by Tesco. Unfortunately I had to eat all the chocolates in order to create this! ;-)

I painted the box with white gesso inside and out, then glued the different elements to the box using clear glue and foam pads in places to add dimension.

Materials used:
Prima Marketing - Fairy Belle: 12 x 12 papers, 6 x 6 papers, chipboard stickers. Prima flowers and leaves (assorted), Prima Shabby Chic Treasures - resin dress form. Bunting border cut from Prima Delight - Delightful 12x12 paper. The swirls are gessoed chipboard with a sprinkling of aqua glass beads.

The Fairy Belle Collection was designed by the talented Jodie Lee. You can buy her designs at various scrap stores or directly from her at her Etsy shop here.
This Collection is only available in limited supplies now, as it was hugely popular when it was first released. But the full collection is also available digitally at Snap Click Supply here.
So digi-scrappers can join in the fun too, or you can resize elements and print out, which is really handy.

Sew Lovely Greeting Card

Here is a "Cute as a Button" greeting card I made using the Sew Lovely Scrapbooking Collection by Do Crafts / Papermania available here
I layered up the paper, die cuts and even used the coordinating post-it notes.
There are some die cut buttons in the set, but I chose to glue real buttons from my collection on to the card using silicone glue.
The flower cabachons are by Webster's Pages Palm Beach Perfect Accents.

Interview With a Vampire Greeting Card

Interview with a Vampire, Vampire Boutique Greeting Card.
This handmade greeting card is inspired by the movie Interview With a Vampire and by my recent trip to New Orleans.
I wanted to create a card that looked like a Victorian dressing screen, so made 3 panels with scrapbooking paper.
The filigree top and feet are cut out of gold cupcake wrappers, if you have a die-cutting machine, you can achieve a similar result.
Materials:
Papers: Glitz French Kiss, Bo Bunny The Avenues, Kaisercraft Miss Empire
Stamps: Kanban Steampunk
Flowers: Prima
Tim Holtz distress inks
